Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation in Salt Lake City is seeking a senior chemical engineer to design and implement chemical processes, instrumentation and equipment, enabling manufacturing scale with maximum efficiency.

You will conduct trials, tests and experiments to support engineering, production and R&D, and assist manufacturing operations in solving equipment-related problems while developing new process formulas to improve cost effectiveness and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement chemical processes, instrumentation and equipment to scale manufacturing with maximum efficiency.
• Perform trials, tests and experiments to support engineering, production and R&D activities.
• Assist manufacturing operations in problem solving with regards to equipment and systems.
• Develop and recommend new process formulas and technologies to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality.
• Establish operating equipment specifications and improve manufacturing techniques.
