Lunexus Space, LLC is seeking a Chemical Engineer for a part-time remote role with the potential to transition to a full-time hybrid position. You will perform analysis, develop laboratory procedures, and apply process engineering principles to help design industrial hardware while ensuring safe and efficient operations.

You will collaborate with the team to generate proposals, manage research projects, and communicate findings to Lunexus team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or Higher in Chem Engineering with reactor design and mass energy balance.
• Highly creative and autonomous.
• Grad students/postdocs welcome.

Job description

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Chemical Engineer potentially leading to full time hybrid role at Lunexus Space. As a Chemical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing analysis and research, developing laboratory procedures, and implementing process engineering principles. You will work collaboratively with the team to design industrial hardware, ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations. Additionally, you will generate proposals and manage research, and communicate findings to Lunexus team and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.

Qualifications

• Design, Analytical and Laboratory Skills
• Experience in the Chemical Industry, specialization in silicon purification chemistry and semiconductor processing strongly preferred
• Grad students/postdocs welcome!
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of plasma physics and safety considerations for combustible gas a plus
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Passion for sustainable practices and materials is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
