Job summary

CommQuest Services, Inc., Massillon Recovery Campus, is seeking a Certified Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant (CDCA) for a full-time, on-site role. You will conduct intake, assessments and counseling to support clients recovering from addiction, using evidence-based techniques and coordinating with care teams.

The position requires a CDCA certification (or higher) and may involve crisis intervention, family education, and discharge planning as part of a comprehensive treatment approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant (CDCA) certification is required; or above certification is preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems (NextGen) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical dependency intake, screenings, and assessments and align with clinical site schedule.
• Orient new clients to treatment philosophy and services.
• Provide crisis intervention and individual or group counseling using evidence-based techniques.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans; prepare discharge plans when appropriate.
• Educate clients and families about addiction treatment and recovery.
• Attend to additional duties as assigned.

CommQuest Services, Inc. is seeking a Certified Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant (CDCA) on a Full-time basis for our Massillon Recovery Campus. The Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant plays a vital role for our clients who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Provides mental health support to clients by conducting assessments, and individual or group counseling sessions. Based on licensure, this role may diagnose and treat emotional, behavioral, mental health, and/or substance use issues employing various therapeutic techniques to help clients improve their wellbeing and coping skills.

What you'll do:

• Complete chemical dependency intake, screenings, and assessments; may require adherence to a clinical site schedule
• Orient new clients to the agency's treatment philosophy
• Provide crisis intervention, individual counseling, and/or group counseling sessions using evidence-based techniques
• Monitor client progress; adjust treatment plans and prepare program discharge plans when appropriate
• Educate client and family regarding addiction treatment and recovery
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant (CDCA) certification is required; or above certification is preferred.
• Previous experience with EHR systems and/or NextGen is preferred
• Previous experience providing both mental health and AOD services highly desired

• Salary listed is base pay. Quarterly bonuses paid for licensed positions based on hours worked, up to $5400(annually).
