Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC in Hickory, NC seeks a Chemical Applications Operator to load, unload, operate and troubleshoot our high‑speed chemical applications line. You will prepare chemicals, feed and label products, and ensure quality.

The role requires a HS diploma, strong troubleshooting, SAP data entry, and a collaborative, safety‑minded approach. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with SAP data-entry and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Unload slit rolls from Gaylord box and inspect for edge quality and contamination.
  • Feed tape into lanes and stack evenly.
  • Change over all stations, adjust rails and bars for correct diameter.
  • Verify Bill of Material and ensure correct supplies and tickets match.
  • Keep QA camera station clear of rejects and inspect products off the line.
  • Thread top and bottom labelers, load canisters and lids.
  • Apply labels as needed and pack into boxes or cartons.
  • Assist in continuous improvement and training of new associates.
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintain a safe work area.

This position will service the machine with chemicals, pack, box, and palletize the finished product.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Unload slit rolls from Gaylord box and inspect for correct slit edge quality and contaminationFeeds tape into lanes stacked evenlyChange over all stations on machine, adjust rails and bars according to the accurate diameterVerify Bill of Material and confirm proper supplies are being used and the ticket matchesKeep QA camera station cleared of all reject rollsVerify powder filled in the cups and binsClear jams in stationsInspect product as it comes off the line before packing into boxesAccurately thread top and bottom labelersLoad canisters and lids in respective stations at rate to match machine thru-putPack canister into specified box or display cartonApply labels to canisters and lids as necessary (if missed on machine)Assist in continuous improvement processAssist in training new associatesPerform daily cleaning responsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
