Job summary

Halliburton in Odessa, Texas, is seeking a Customer Chemical Account Specialist responsible for building lasting relationships, managing chemical accounts, troubleshooting, and scheduling.

You will lead day-to-day operations for client accounts, pursue new business opportunities, provide technical support on Multi‑Chem products, collect samples, analyze data, and present clear recommendations to clients and management.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of experience in the Production Chemical business within the oil and gas industry.

• Provide technical support and product knowledge for Multi‑Chem lines.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the position is responsible for creating, building, and sustaining customer relationships, managing customer chemical accounts, troubleshooting, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of day‑to‑day operations necessary to sustain client accounts.
• Acquire new business opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Stabilize business in large, strategic accounts.
• Manage smaller accounts with combined revenues up to $2.5million.
• Direct and supervise field personnel, including interviewing, hiring, performance feedback, monitoring work, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Pursue organic growth opportunities with existing customers and new prospects.
• Provide technical support: product knowledge of Multi‑Chem lines, testing, selecting, recommending products, escalating complaints.
• Collect samples and analyze related data.
• Offer technical advice and recommendations to support customer operational requirements.
• Understand chemical pump design and specifications.
• Develop, build and sustain custom chemical programs and optimize them as opportunities arise.
• Use Microsoft product platforms and related software to maintain customer financial and technical portfolios.
• Perform system analysis; interpret data and develop recommendations to ensure optimal performance.
• Produce and present technical presentations.
• Provide clear, concise reports and recommendations internally to management and externally to clients.

Qualifications

High‑school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of experience in the Production Chemical business within the oil and gas industry.
