Job summary

Nucor Steel – Nebraska is seeking a qualified applicant for the Chem Lab Utility position. The role supports Quality Assurance by ensuring testing integrity, evaluating billet quality, preparing samples, and maintaining testing equipment.

You will handle macro-etch sample prep and operate various lab instruments in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will train weekly in multiple QA areas, including the Chemistry Lab, and must be able to work Monday through Friday dayshift with potential

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test macro-etch samples and operate lab equipment.
• Operate saws and other lab equipment as part of routine testing.
• Cross-train in QA to cover additional areas weekly and maintain skill level.
• Monday–Friday dayshift; overtime including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
