Eurest, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Chef Manager in the Roanoke, VA area. You will lead a high-volume corporate dining operation, drive exceptional food, service, and results, and own the P&L and budget while upholding HACCP and safety standards.

The role emphasizes ownership, leadership, and the ability to manage a busy dining campus with on-site catering and vending innovations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct foodservice operational management experience.
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, cost controls and presentation.
• P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience preferred.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across management, client, customer, and staff.
• Strong financial, budgeting, accounting and computational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer/email skills.
• ServSafe Certified.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account (culinary and service operations).

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a team of 8 front of house / back of house associates
• Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account (culinary and service operations)
• Interview, hire, train, and develop associates — planning and assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving concerns with fairness and consistency
• Prepare and manage the annual budget with a sharp eye on cost-effective, efficient operations
• Utilize company systems to complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including inventory, cash reports, production records, and payroll/timekeeping
• Oversee and actively participate in food and beverage preparation and service, ensuring adherence to company standards for quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety (HACCP and OSHA compliant), along with portion control
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed, bringing energy and flexibility to a dynamic operation

What You Bring

• 5+ yars of direct foodservice operational management experience, with strong inventory and purchasing knowledge
• Deep knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience preferred
• Strong supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills that inspire teams to do their best work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect across management, client, customer, and associate levels
• Strong financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer/email skills
• ServSafe® Certified
