Full Time

$23/hr - $26/hr based on experience

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
  • Assist in supervising culinary staff alongside the Culinary Director.
  • Support the preparation and execution of dining enhancement programs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage areas.
  • Handle opening and/or closing of the kitchen as assigned.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and standards.
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, and preparation of food according to company standards.
  • Estimate food and supply needs and communicate with the food service team.
  • Assist in preparing and cooking meals following recipes and menus.
  • Document food temperatures and monitor refrigeration and freezer conditions.
  • Ensure snacks and beverages are available for residents at all times.
  • Keep kitchen floors clean and trash disposed of properly.
  • Assist in food transportation and storage.
  • Participate in special events, banquets, and themed meals.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to build positive relationships with staff and residents.
    • Dedication to excellent customer service and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
    • Ability to read and follow recipes, production guides, and schedules.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 years of cooking experience in healthcare or hospitality settings; Serve Safe Certification.

Experience: Prior experience in healthcare or hospitality preferred.

Certificates/Licenses: Serve Safe Certification required.

Physical Demands:

  • Dexterity, visual and auditory acuity.
  • Ability to lift at least 15 lbs., push/pull carts, and walk/stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, stoop, and reach as needed.
