Job summary

Endeavor Schools’ Children's Discovery Center is seeking a School Chef to manage all aspects of the school kitchen, ensure safety and cleanliness, and prepare healthy meals for students. The role supports a growing network of over 100 schools and offers relocation options, a supportive environment, and career development opportunities.

You will create menus, order supplies, maintain inventory, and uphold sanitation standards to comply with health department inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to use standard office equipment, such as a computer and/or smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Create menus, order food, prepare meals and deliver meals to other locations.
• Order products on a regular schedule to prevent stockouts and manage kitchen inventory.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food prep areas and appliances.
• Maintain the highest level of sanitation and assist with health department inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

As Chef, you will manage all aspects of the school kitchen and ensure the safety and cleanliness of the kitchen. The Food Service Manager also prepares healthy meals and/or snacks for our students.

What You Get to Do:

• Create menus, order food, prepare meals and deliver meals to other locations.
• Order products on a regular schedule to eliminate out of stock items such as food, paper goods, cleaning supplies and snacks, as well as process inventory of all kitchen items.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all food preparation areas, food containers, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Maintain the highest level of sanitation and be responsible for the inspection with the health department.
• Other duties, as assigned.
