Job summary

Army HQ, Monxton Road, Andover, SP11 8HT, is seeking a Chef to join Sodexo in a unique MOD environment. You will prepare, cook, and serve meals for military personnel, upholding top standards in a fast-paced setting.

You'll work 5 days per week with every 4th weekend and shifts 06:30-14:30 and 10:00-18:00, earning £14.11 per hour. Benefits include wellbeing resources, financial perks, career growth, and a protective uniform.

Qualifications

• Professional chef experience in catering or hospitality.
• Culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 2/3).
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-focused environment.
• Experience working in military or government catering.
• IOSH qualification or equivalent.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with guidelines.
• Work with front-of-house to deliver exceptional service.
• Cook and serve meals to military personnel to a consistently high standard.
• Oversee kitchen sanitation and best practices.
• Participate in high-profile events and special functions.
• Contribute to bulk cooking ensuring consistency and quality.
