Valley Queen Cheese Factory, Inc. Milbank, SD is seeking a Packaging Room Operator-Entry Level to join our team. You’ll help package cheese in a modern food production environment, follow safety protocols, and learn on-the-job.

This entry-level role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and reliability. You’ll operate equipment, check weights, keep records, and participate in training. The schedule includes a 5PM-5AM shift with every other weekend off.

Qualifications

• Team player with good communication skills and reliability.
• Attention to detail and willingness to follow safety and quality standards.
• High school diploma or GED required; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package cheese into large boxes following standard procedures.
• Operate equipment in the packaging room safely and efficiently.
• Check weights and ensure each box meets specifications.
• Keep records and complete paperwork accurately.
• Maintain safety and quality by following food safety guidelines and PPE.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitation and help train new team members.
