BBA Afterschool Inc. is seeking a part-time after-school instructor to teach Cheer/Dance to elementary students in Alexandria area schools. The role runs Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM–5:00 PM with 1.5-hour sessions and no weekends. Curriculum and equipment are provided, and background checks are required.

The position offers hands-on classroom experience, leadership development, and the chance to make a positive local impact while advancing within BBA Afterschool.

Qualifications

• Experience participating in or teaching Cheer/Dance, gymnastics, or related activity preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5.
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Alexandria.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process.

Responsabilités

• Teach elementary students Cheer/Dance activities.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, physical activity, and participation.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.

• Part-time, after-school position
