Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time cashier in Texas to provide a fast, friendly checkout experience and assist customers with purchases and exchanges. You will help customers at the register, in the self-checkout area, and in answering questions while maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Lift up to 10 lbs unassisted; over 15 lbs with or without accommodation; team lifts up to 75 lbs
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
