Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time cashier to provide a quick, friendly checkout experience and help customers find the best value. You’ll answer questions, process payments and exchanges, and assist across departments as needed to keep store operations smooth.

Ideal candidates will have basic math, computer use, and customer service experience, with the ability to stay on your feet for long periods. Bilingual abilities are a plus in our diverse stores.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
• Complete other duties as assigned
