Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a friendly, customer-focused checker to join our store team. You will greet customers, process purchases accurately, and handle payments including cash, checks, cards, EBT and other options. You will also manage coupon processing, maintain register records, and ensure secure cash handling while bagging orders.

Training will be provided at store level. This role is an on-site full-time position with opportunities for internal growth within Schnucks.

• Ability to learn product codes and coupons.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers prior to checking their order.
• Check out customer’s purchases accurately.
• Identify produce items and use codes correctly.
• Process manufacturer and Schnucks coupons.
• Collect correct amount due and handle various payment methods.
• Maintain accuracy of register records and cash security.
• Bag customer orders and handle receipts.
