Job summary

Chedraui USA's El Super #8 in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Checker to join our store team. Starting rate is $16.50 per hour, with responsibilities including fast, accurate sales processing and cash register operations.

Under supervision, you will deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment and help safeguard assets while meeting company standards.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (desired).

Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of time. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
