Job summary

El Super in Anaheim is seeking a Checker to join the store operations team. Under direct supervision, you will handle cash register transactions, assist customers, maintain accurate pricing and shelf integrity, and help ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

This role requires ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced grocery environment. Starting wage is $17.20 per hour, with opportunities for training and advancement within the El Super family.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times.
