Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Lead Architect / Senior Full Stack Developer for the CHEC platform. You will own end-to-end technical architecture across React frontend, .NET APIs, and data layers, while guiding Azure infrastructure and AI-augmented development practices.

You will mentor engineers, drive QA strategy, establish engineering standards, and ensure safety, auditability, and security in a mission-critical configuration tool. Hybrid in-office schedule preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years software engineering experience.
• Proven technical leadership / architect experience.
• Strong full-stack expertise (React/TypeScript frontend, .NET/C# backend) and hands-on QA automation leadership.
• Experience with system design and architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, domain-driven design).
• Database and data layer expertise (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Entity Framework).
• Security architecture knowledge (OWASP, authentication/authorization patterns).
• API design standards (REST, versioning, contract-first design).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience defining and leading AI-augmented development practices across a team.
• Proficiency with AI coding assistants and prompt engineering for code generation, testing, and documentation.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, particularly in safety-relevant contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern CHEC's end-to-end technical architecture (React frontend, .NET APIs, backend services, data layers).
• Serve as technical authority across full-stack development and cloud infrastructure.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, patterns, and best practices, including AI-assisted development guidelines.
• Lead the Automation QA effort, including test strategy, tooling selection, and CI/CD quality gates.
• Architect and review Azure-hosted services with focus on security, observability, and scalability.
• Partner with UX, Product Owners, and Application Engineering on roadmap execution.
• Mentor senior and junior developers; provide technical reviews and coaching on AI tooling.
• Ensure traceability, auditability for safety-relevant configuration changes.
• Define and lead AI-augmented development strategy, tooling selection and workflow integration.
• Establish prompt engineering standards for AI-assisted code generation, testing, and architecture documentation.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for quality, security, and compliance with safety requirements.
