Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a hands-on Mechanical/Vehicle Test Technician to prepare vehicles for chassis rolls testing, refueling/charging, purging evaporative canisters, and moving vehicles to and from test cells. You will install instrumentation, run test cycles, and relay high-quality data to engineers.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of mechanic or skilled-trade experience.
  • Self-directed with solid mechanical skills.
  • Ability to assist engineers with calibration testing using driving simulations.
  • Must handle heavy equipment and use computers effectively.
  • Good written and oral communication; follow detailed testing instructions.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles for chassis rolls testing and related tasks.
  • Drive vehicles on designated test cycles to collect valid metrics.
  • Set up and remove instrumentation and hardware for tests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of test equipment in the cell.
  • Provide high quality data to engineering in a timely manner.
