Job description

We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

Racing is where our story began.

In 1901, Henry Ford climbed into a car he built himself—'Sweepstakes'—and beat America's most famous driver. He wasn't a racer, but he had to win. He did. Ford Motor Company was born from that victory.

That fighting spirit lives on in Ford Racing today. We're the engineers, strategists, and competitors who bring Ford's track-tested edge into every vehicle we build. Every track, every stage, every proving ground—that's where we prove ourselves.

The result: one of the world's most iconic brands, legendary nameplates, and a team unmatched in the industry.

Our mantra: Race to win, engineer to lead.

If you're a competitor, innovator, or performance obsessive, Ford Racing is where you belong. Help us write the next chapter.

This role will be focused on managing embedded controls software and ECUs Pre-PS through OPD for all Ford Racing Applications. Applicants will also interface with teams including powertrain, chassis and architecture engineers, and digital performance feature owners, allowing for numerous opportunities to expand technical knowledge in a wide area of automotive technologies, systems, and components.

  • High proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink modeling.
  • Proficiency in embedded systems and microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis and design.
  • Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence or a similar system for tracking inputs and results.
Even better, you may have
  • Working knowledge of semi-active damper technology, including solenoid controls, internal bypass dampers, and CCD dampers.
  • Working knowledge of mechatronic chassis devices, such as steering and brake controls.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier management, cost negotiation, launch, GPDS Pre-UNV0 to OKTB delivery, and global program delivery.
  • Experience with FMEA and related quality-assurance processes.
  • Self-starter who can learn new tools, find solutions, and troubleshoot and fix vehicle problems.
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital and analog data-acquisition systems.
  • Awareness of, or experience with, ISO 26262.
  • Experience in early prototype development.
  • Experience with in-vehicle software integration and testing.
