Job summary

Stellantis Auburn is seeking a Chassis Layout Designer to create 3D NX models and 2D drawings for chassis components, from concept to production detail. You will work with NX and Teamcenter to support the full design workflow in a hands-on role.

The position emphasizes collaboration with engineers and design leads, ensuring accuracy and conformance to standards. Candidates should have NX experience, CAD coursework, and a solid understanding of vehicle assembly and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 32 credits toward an associate degree including CAD classes.
• NX (Unigraphics) automotive design experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle assembly process.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (stamping, welding, molding, casting).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design NX CAD models and 2D drawings for chassis components and assemblies.
• Support engineers, design supervisors, and other designers as needed.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards throughout the development cycle.
• Participate in the design process from concept through production detailing.
