Job summary

DATTCO is hiring Charter Bus Driver Trainees for our Westport, CT location. Begin a driving career with variety and training, earning an hourly rate of $32–$36 after training. Training takes place in Bridgeport, CT, with a typical 90-day program.

Once licensed, you may transport sports teams, students on field trips, and groups to private events. Starting as a Driver Trainee, you will receive personalized training to obtain your CDL and endorsements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have at least three consecutive years of driving experience with a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain a Connecticut CDL Class A or B with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) or Van (V) endorsements.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA medical qualification standards and maintain a valid DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to a variety of destinations and events.
• Drive sports teams to games and athletic events.
• Transport students and school groups on field trips and other activities.
• Provide friendly and professional service to passengers and clients.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
