Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Charleston, SC. The position offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts. You will operate in the OR, prepare the team, and deliver high-quality perioperative care alongside a dedicated clinical team.

Required: 1 year OR RN experience, valid RN license, and BLS. Preferred: ACLS/PALS/ENPC, CNOR. Benefits include day-one medical, dental, vision, PTO after 1560 hours, 401(k) matching, life and disability

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Assists in patient positioning and preparation, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates surgical team needs and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes.
• Handles instruments, sterilization, and disposal per facility protocols.
• Manages specimen collection and transport per protocols.
• Documents all perioperative patient care accurately.
• Participates in handoff communication pre- and post-operatively.
• Cleans and restocks the OR between cases per turnover protocols.
• Ensures compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Follows PPE and infection prevention measures; performs other duties as assigned.
