Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year recent full-time equivalent experience in a Critical Care, DOU or SDU setting, or KP Critical Care, DOU or SDU course completion within prior 12 months.
• California Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications.
• Basic Arrhythmia course required.

Responsibilities

• Directs reviews and assigns work for 3+ employees, including at least one RN.
• Provides professional leadership and direction to department staff.
• Coordinates operations and delegates tasks; supports staffing and scheduling.
• Ensures compliance with Kaiser Permanente policies, laws and accreditation standards.
• Leads quality improvement, patient flow, and inter-professional communication.
