Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled registered nurse to coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, and to manage shift operations. The role includes providing clinical care as needed when census demands and communicating with leaders about patient care and staff concerns.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license in Georgia, BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and meet the extensive certification requirements listed in the addendum.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required
• 2 years or more nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
• RN licensure in Georgia and/or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure required
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required prior to independent administration
• NRP by end of orientation period required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 12 months required
• PEARS certification required
• PALS if unit serves pediatric patients required
• ACLS and PALS in Emergency Department required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care from birth through the lifecycle.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership.
• Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to staff.
