Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality nursing care across all ages, from birth onward. The role requires clinical proficiency and collaboration with leadership to address patient and department needs.

Candidates must hold GA RN licensure with multistate options, and possess ACLS, PALS, and required specialty certifications. Evening and shift coverage may apply, with orientation and ongoing certification requirements.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in Georgia and/or multistate licensure (NLC/eNCL)
• ACLS Certification required
• PALS Certification required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required prior to independent chemotherapy administration
• NRP and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
• TNCC/ENPC certifications as applicable at Piedmont hospitals within 180 days

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
• ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) Required
• PALS Certification (Emergency Department) Required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) Required
• NRP by the end of orientation period (Women's Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) Required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year Required
• PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital) Required
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department) Required
• ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 Days
