Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced RN with a dialysis background and acute care experience. The role involves coordinating delivery of high-quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and addressing operational issues during the shift.

Responsibilities include communicating patient care needs to leadership and serving as a staff resource. Expect a full-time day shift with a sign-on bonus available, and a strong emphasis on certification compliance

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• RN - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration required.
• NRP by the end of orientation period required.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date required.
• PEARS Certification required.
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients required.
• ACLS and PALS required for Emergency Department and Surgical Services as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during the shift.
• Communicate patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serve as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Education
