VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown, DE. The RN delivers high-quality care within scope of practice, ensuring patient safety and acting as a leader among nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Possesses an active CPR certification.
• Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
• Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ condition.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
• Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Instruct individuals and families on health education and disease prevention.
• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure stock of supplies.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s condition.
• Additional duties as assigned by facility.
