Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is hiring experienced Charge Registered Nurses (Charge RNs) to join the Hillsborough County Jail team in Tampa, FL. This full-time role features overseeing nursing services and hands-on patient care within a correctional setting.

The Charge RN will conduct daily rounds, document vitals and history, assist with triage and procedures, and help train clinical staff. NaphCare provides strong benefits, ongoing education, and opportunities for professional growth in a nationwide

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in FL.
• CPR certification required.
• 3–5 years clinical experience; correctional healthcare preferred.
• Experience with triage and patient assessment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide the delivery of nursing services within the facility.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds.
• Take and document patient history and vital signs.
• Assist with triage, minor procedures, and patient assessments.
• Assist in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of clinical services.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Charge RN:

• Coordinate, structure, implement and guide the delivery of the nursing service program within the facility
• Conduct daily clinical rounds
• Take and document all patient history and vital signs
• Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures and patient assessments
• Assist with examinations and/or treatments
• Assist in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of clinical services
• Assist with orientation and training activities of clinical personnel
• Observe and review documentation, orders and patient care plans
• Assist with disaster plans and emergency preparation
• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility

Qualifications

Qualifications for Charge RN:

• Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in FL
• A valid CPR card
• A minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
