Qualifications

  • RN degree from an accredited school
  • Current Texas RN license
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of employment
  • Two years of inpatient/acute care nursing experience
  • One year of Charge Nurse experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and administers care to a unit specific patient population using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to ensure each patient receives appropriate nursing care
  • Provides clinical supervision to the clinical, professional, and auxiliary staff to ensure continuous delivery of quality patient care
  • Works cooperatively with appropriate medical staff to ensure accomplishment of hospital and departmental goals
  • Manages departmental activities in accordance with hospital and departmental policy and ensures that care is delivered consistent with physician's orders and treatment protocols
  • Oversees the implementation of a plan of care appropriate to each patient’s needs

Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • Degree as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current Texas RN License
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of employment
Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Two years of inpatient/acute care nursing experience
  • One Year of Charge Nurse experience
