Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is hiring a Radiology Technologist for full-time evening shifts (4) 10-hour days). A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates who meet payment conditions, in addition to our benefits package starting on day one.

The role includes shift-charge responsibilities, imaging exams with ALARA, and collaboration across departments to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold Oregon Radiographer License upon hire or temporary license upon hire.
• ARRT certification required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders using a variety of imaging equipment.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Coordinate with departments and provide workflow support and staff training.

Job description

Radiology Technologist

Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. Full-Time/Evening Shift - (4) 10 Hour shifts. $6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

This Radiologic Technologist has shift charge responsibilities including exam workflow, staff training, addressing equipment and safety concerns, coordinating and collaborating with multiple departments within the facility. In addition, the technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high-quality images. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.

Required Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, OrOregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Location and Compensation

Pay Range: $36.99 - $57.44. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
