Medical Surgical Unit Charge Nurse – Night Shift, Full‑time.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the medical‑surgical setting.
- Ensure the quality of care during the shift and coordinate multidisciplinary communication with social services, physicians and other departments.
- Make assignments and manage admissions in accordance with census demands.
- Serve as a role model for staff through professional and effective communication.
- Practice within American Nurses Association standards, including collaboration, leadership, communication and quality of practice.
- Perform head‑to‑toe assessments on all patients and regularly reassess pain and medication efficacy.
- Revise plans of care based on patient response to treatment and evaluate overall effectiveness.
- Perform waived testing (point‑of‑care testing, glucometers) and interpret results, taking appropriate action.
- Administer medications correctly, following the six medication rights to reduce errors.
