Job summary

Miller's Health Systems in Indiana is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead nursing care on your shift, ensure accurate documentation, and supervise direct care staff. A valid Indiana nursing license is required and you will follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for each patient.

You will collaborate with the Unit Manager, participate in the pre-employment process, and uphold professional appearance and conduct while delivering compassionate care to residents.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Indiana.
• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening.
• Pass the physical examination given in behalf of gainful employment within the facility.
• Professional manner and appearance.
• Nursing policies and procedures.
• Administration of medication, possible side effects, treatment administration, local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices.
• Physical, psychological, social and medical needs of residents.
• Organizational structure and duties of employees under supervision of unit manager.

Responsibilities

• As a Charge Nurse at Miller’s, you are responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift.
• You supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.
• You follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for your patients and assist the Unit Manager with documentation in the patient record when needed.
