Job summary
Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.
You will oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards.
Qualifications
- Current RN license is required and must be in good standing.
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing services and clinical supervision during shifts.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and care standards.
- Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs and coordinate care plans.
- Complete resident assessments, care plans, and documentation.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to families and leadership.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
- Conduct routine rounds and address incidents or concerns.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote resident safety.

Skilled Nursing
Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.
In this role, you'll oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards. You'll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.
The Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, completes resident assessments, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.
Charge Nurse (RN), RN Supervisor, Floor Nurse (RN), Shift Supervisor (RN), or Registered Nurse – Charge Role.
- Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts
- Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures
- Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs
- Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation
- Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met
- Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect
- Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety

Licensure / Certification
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Experience & Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
- Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred
