Responsibilities

The Charge Nurse assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, and other appropriate parties under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director for the unit. The role coordinates multidisciplinary team members, directs and educates nursing personnel to facilitate optimal health care outcomes in accordance with Manatee Health policies, procedures, standards, and philosophy. Service Excellence is demonstrated at all times. Other duties as assigned.
