Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Charge Nurse to provide safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process. You will ensure compliance with policies, act as a liaison among patients, physicians, and case management, and respond to changing patient needs while overseeing staffing and unit operations.

The role requires leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to lead daily huddles, delegate tasks, and maintain regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state.
• ACLS, CPR, PALS certifications required.
• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent.
• Leadership ability and training participation.
• Ability to lead and delegate shift assignments.
• Strong communication with physicians and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to provide safe, quality patient care and document accordingly.
• Lead daily huddles on each unit to optimize assignments and identify staff for shifts.
• Delegate tasks to ensure completion and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to rapidly changing patient needs and coordinate with physicians and case management.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, and the care team.
