Responsibilities

• Coordinate all clinical functions, nursing practice and the standards of care related to the delivery of patient care within the assigned specialty service in the Main Operating Room.
• Use the nursing process to design, coordinate, and deliver care to meet the identified needs of patients having operative procedures.
• Assist in directing daily activities, leading, planning, controlling and evaluating nursing practices and operations for the specialty area.
• Provides patient care to assigned patients and serves as the clinical expert and resource for the specialty service.
• Serve as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients and students.
