Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA, is seeking a dedicated nurse for the Pulmonary Unit (Surg/Med) on the 6th floor of the Main Tower. The role is full-time nights (7pm-7am) with a sign-on bonus and specialty differential.

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.
• Two or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to staff.

Education

Graduate of a nursing program

One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting

The clinical staff on Pulmonary work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists and respiratory therapists to provide top-notch care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues. In the state-of-the-art new Main Tower, the Pulmonary nurse provides high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The Pulmonary nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. RESPONSIBLE FOR:Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Qualifications
