HONEY GROVE NURSING CENTER in Honey Grove, TX is seeking a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to lead care for residents. You will supervise Nurse Aides, administer medications, implement care plans, and ensure safe, compassionate daily care.

This full-time on-site role requires RN or LVN in good standing, strong assessment and documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate workflows and respond to emergencies. We offer tuition reimbursement, paid time off, health benefits, and a supportive team

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: supervise Nurse Aides to ensure resident care.

• Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately.
• Document resident care and complete nursing assessments.
• Collaborate during shift reports for continuity of care.
• Educate support staff on nursing policies and resident needs.
• Maintain safety standards and infection control.
• Address staffing needs by arranging replacement staff as necessary.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN

In this role, you will:

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.

• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.

• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.

• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.

• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.

• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.

• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.

• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.

• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.

• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
