• Must hold a current RN or LPN license.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal or written English instructions.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.

• To assure resident safety.
• Provides the best nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions in the unit.
• Makes nursing assignments appropriate to staff skill levels.
• Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.
• Identifies problems and guides personnel to solutions.
• Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction.
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
• Supports infection-control policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality and a professional approach.
• Cooperates with staff and visitors and maintains good rapport.
• Obtains and documents nursing history comprehensively.
• Performs basic patient assessment with anatomy/physiology knowledge.
• Records vital signs and notes changes.
• Notifies physician of changes in condition.
• Develops care plans before end of duty time for incoming personnel.
• Uses care plans to provide safe and therapeutic care.
• Follows established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Accepts accountability for clinical care and supervision.
• Communicates with patient and family and health-care team.
• Promotes positive public relations with patients and guests.
• Uses tactful communication in sensitive situations.
• Adheres to dress code and workplace behavior.
