Job summary

The Rehabilitation Center of Independence is seeking a compassionate Charge Nurse (LPN) to lead nursing care in our skilled nursing facility. You will supervise CNAs, coordinate daily clinical operations, and ensure high-quality resident care while supporting residents, families, and staff.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Missouri license and CPR/BLS is required; 1–2 years in skilled nursing or geriatric settings preferred. This is a night shift with a $1,500 sign-on bonus and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and active Missouri LPN license.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively as part of a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Perform resident assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Assign resident care duties and coordinate daily workflow.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation and maintain compliance with Missouri state regulations.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life.
