Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to coordinate delivery of high-quality nursing care across the birth to lifecycle spectrum. The role includes providing direct clinical care as needed and communicating patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure in Georgia, ACLS and PALS certifications, and a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license and/or multistate licensure required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required prior to independent chemotherapy administration.
• NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring requirements per unit
• PEARS certification required at Piedmont Athens/Piedmont Columbus Hospital per addendum.

Qualifications

Education

Licenses and Certifications

• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) Required
• NRP by the end of orientation period (Women’s Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) Required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year Required
• PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital) Required
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department) Required
• ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 Days

• Pediatrics: Identifies, reports and provides appropriate protective measures for high risk situations including, but not limited to, abuse or neglect, failure to thrive and potential for abduction.
