Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Charge RN is an RN with clinical expertise who directs patient care activities during their assigned shift. This position provides care to adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of patients and their treatment plan, as well as counseling and education for patients’ families. The Charge RN follows the nursing standards of care, policies and procedures to assure optimal outcomes and is accountable for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.).

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center.
