Job summary

Centurion Health is hiring an RN Charge Nurse for the Georgia Diagnostic & Classification Prison (GDCP) in Jackson, GA. You will lead daily clinical operations and coordinate nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care in a correctional setting.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will mentor staff, uphold safety and regulatory standards, and manage workflow while maintaining a professional, structured care environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia.
• Minimum 4 years RN experience.
• Charge Nurse, ER, corrections, psych, or med-surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations within the assigned unit.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs.
• Collaborate with medical, mental health, and administrative teams.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and workflow management.
• Respond to clinical escalations and support critical decision-making.
• Promote a safe, structured, and professional care environment.
