Job summary

The Orchards at Big Rapids is actively seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team as Charge Nurses. We offer a competitive pay scale with hourly rates from $37.00 to $45.00, depending on licensure and experience, and various shift incentives.

We provide full-time and part-time opportunities with day and night shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotation, and a supportive interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, care plans, facility policies, and applicable nursing standards
• Administer medications and treatments and accurately document care provided
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report and respond to concerns
• Complete nursing assessments and documentation appropriate to licensure and assigned responsibilities
• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide direction and support to CNAs and other nursing staff as assigned
• Respond appropriately to changes in resident condition and emergency situations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow infection prevention, safety, confidentiality, and resident-rights requirements
• Assist with unit operations and assume charge responsibilities as assigned and appropriate to licensure

The Orchards at Big Rapids is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team as Charge Nurses. We are looking for dependable, compassionate nurses who are committed to providing quality care and creating a positive experience for our residents.

Pay

$37.00–$45.00/hour, based on licensure and experience

• LPN: Starting at $37.00/hour, with higher rates based on experience

• RN: Starting at $40.00/hour, with higher rates based on experience

• Additional shift differentials and shift pickup incentives may apply

Schedule

Full-time and part-time opportunities available.

• Day Shift: 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.

• Night Shift: 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.

• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required.
