Job summary

Regions Hospital in Minnesota is hiring a Charge Master Coding Analyst. You will use clinical knowledge to compare medical records documentation with billed items, analyze department charging patterns, and identify coding and billing issues.

You will coordinate with clinical areas, nursing, finance, and patient accounting to support accurate revenue capture. Requires a degree in HIM, Business Administration or related field and/or CPC certification, plus 5 years hospital experience and 3 years

Qualifications

• Degree in HIM, Business Administration or related field and/or CPC certification.
• Minimum 5 years hospital experience; 3 years in coding/billing.
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Annual audits of charge masters and updates to CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes.
• Identify charging and coding issues and communicate with departments.
• Prepare reports on audit outcomes and assist with process improvements.
• Support training and guidance to team members on workflow and coding.
