Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital is seeking a Charge Analyst to join our team. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a hybrid schedule, primarily remote, requiring some onsite time and travel to hospital locations in the North, Northwest and South suburbs.

Main onsite location is Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital. You will review, analyze, and coordinate charge master activities, using clinical and coding knowledge to ensure accurate billing, while collaborating with Epic Team on

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes clinical and coding knowledge to ensure accurate and compliant charge items and to recognize and resolve billing inconsistencies.
  • Analyzes content of system-generated reports and software edits to facilitate revisions with appropriate clinical departments.
  • Serves as liaison to the appropriate Epic Team concerning medication charges and billing.
  • Participates in departmental auditing processes as requested.

Job Description

** This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday. 8am to 4:30pm. This role is a hybrid model, with majority of work being work from home, with some office time required. Travel to hospital locations in the North, Northwest and South suburbs would be required. Main location for onsite work would be at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital. **

Qualifications

  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
