Job summary

Providence Health & Services seeks a Chaplain – Professional Spiritual Care to provide professional spiritual care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings at Providence PACE sites in Cully-Portland and Milwaukie.

The role supports the mission of the Department of Spiritual Health Services with elder and family care, and works within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Schedule: 28 hours/week on weekdays day shift.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in theology or related religious studies as accepted for chaplaincy board certifying organizations or equivalent.
• Four clinical pastoral education units.
• National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.

• Provide professional spiritual care ministry across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings as part of the healthcare team.
• Support the mission, values, and policies of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility.

Chaplain – Professional Spiritual Care

Schedule: 28 hours/week on weekdays day shift.

The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve. This role will be supporting our PACE sites in Cully and Milwaukie.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations or equivalent education/experience.
• Coursework/Training: Four clinical pastoral education units.
• Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.
