Job summary

The State of Arizona in Phoenix, through the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry, seeks a Chaplain II to support spiritual wellbeing and oversee religious programs across the ASPC Phoenix complex.

You will lead chaplains, provide pastoral counseling, and engage with housing, work, recreation, and education areas, including isolation settings. Eligible for excellent benefits and a comprehensive retirement program.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral care and counseling.
• Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with diverse religious practices and dietary requirements.
• Proficient with standard PC software including Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates a wide variety of religious programs.
• Interviews, counsels, and responds to inmate inquiries about religious activities.
• Coordinates religious diet programs and develops tracking mechanisms.
• Maintains and develops reports and documentation.
