  • Two or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE); ACPE preferred.
  • Hospital/healthcare spiritual care experience 2–3 years required.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently.
  • Proficient at documenting encounters in a patient’s electronic medical records.

  • Visit patients in homes, hospitals, or prisons to provide comfort and support.
  • Administer religious rites or ordinances.

Patients are seen at the bedside or in outpatient settings as assigned. Involved in all aspects of care, including but not limited to team meetings, family meetings, and goal discussions. Staff support is provided through 1:1 encounters and group gatherings in the units and other locations as needed. Also charged with developing and leading hospital-wide and community faith-specific and interfaith services. Work as team members in accordance with the department's mission and vision statements.Does this position require Patient Care?
